Get Anyone Banned from Adsense for less than $5

Before I start this post let me make one thing very clear. After you are done reading it you could seriously screw someone of who you know makes a lot of money with Adsense. In fact, you can get just about anyone banned from their Adsense account. But: This does not mean that you should and I want to stress that I do not condone this behavior in any way possible.

The reason I write this post is that I am a bit shocked just how easy it is to find out things about somebodies Adsense publisher account and the domains on which he or she has Adsense on. And, frankly, I think this should be stopped too. Or, at least something should be done about it. Because it makes all Adsense publishers pretty vulnerable to all sorts of possible scams.

To be honest, I removed most of my Adsense off of my sites since I am not any longer satisfied with what Google has to offer with Adsense. Getting mere cents per click is what I call an INSULT.

To give you an example: I own a site which used to get an average of $2 – $4 p click. Now, this same site is doing an average of $0.01 to $0.11…

Can anyone tell me just how? No, I guess not. Well, I think it might just have to do with the recent crisis. And, if a company can save some money by amending their percentages then so be it. I just am not part of it anymore as I used to be.

However, I still have some sites with Adsense. And, after installing an SEO plug in lately I was pointed to what I think is practically a breach in privacy. And, it could indeed get just about anyone banned from Adsense. This means, you can ban anyone too…

On the following image you will see just how easy it is to get information about somebodies Adsense publish ID. The first two are ads from two of my sites on which I still have Adsense. The third image is the screen shot of the page on which I can buy access to a report showing me what other domains are linked to the Adsense publisher ID from my Adsense ads. (Yes, I only have 11 domains with Adsense left…)

Well I be damned. I can find out which sites are owned by the same Adsense publisher… And, should I want to make him an immediate suspect in Google’s eyes of participating in click fraud then I can.

Little as Google knows, it is not the owner arranging this to get rich, no, it is someone who ordered the above report and clicks all of these sites to hell and back. And, trust me, this person who owns the Adsense account and sites WILL become a suspect in Google’s eyes…

We all know that people are getting banned from Adsense due to click fraud, right? And,  sure, there ARE a lot of those people who are getting banned from Google because they ARE committing click fraud.

Google is not stupid and if you practice click fraud, it might take a while but trust me, you WILL get caught! Should you want to make money online with Adsense then click fraud is NOT something you want to get involved in. Period. It will get you banned 100% for sure…

Actually, I could imagine that the percentage of people who get banned from their Adsense account IS in fact due to click fraud, or being UNDER SUSPICION of performing click fraud. To us this might be a huge difference, to Google however they both mean the same: CLOSURE of your Adsense account. You are banned.

Knowing this, and I am sure a lot of people DO know this, how easy is it for someone to obtain the same report as I can using this SEO plug in and do harm to anyone’s domains? Right, as one, two three… Or even easier… It just costs $4.95…

All this person needs to do is  buy the report, find out about all of my domains on which I have Adsense on, then to visit all of these domains, click a few times per hour and there you have it: I am in serious trouble since my chances of getting banned from Adsense just surpassed the planet Mars. With other words, they went sky high. I became a suspect without even knowing about it.

And, to put it blunt, I think I would just GET banned simply because of the multiple clicks on ALL of my domains from the same IP addresses. The result will be receiving an email from the Google security team telling me that the account is closed die to suspicious activity and It will be extremely difficult to proof to Google that I have nothing to do with this whatsoever.

Google found my account to be involved with click fraud. And, once that happens, click… Account closed.

Hm, …

So, if you are managing a large Adsense site network which pays your bills and you are relying on this as your main income, what are your thoughts on this?

Sure, there will be some here thinking that people could get the Adsense publisher id of a site they are on while this information is easily retrieved by looking in the source code of the site.

They will then find your Adsense code. But, the thing is, they can’t go and look for any other sites with that code on Google. If you do a search on Google for someones Adsense ID, it will not come up with all of your other sites with that Adsene code in it…

And, with this SEO Firefox plugin, I can just go ahead and order it to download instantly. That is a big difference…

Was I to have any bad intentions, or wanted to revenge some competition online, all I seriously needed to do was to continuously click on all of their domain’s Adsense ads with a proxy.

It would bring the Adsense account holder in some serious trouble, that is for sure. IF his defense would be to Google that it is not his IP, Google will for sure recognize the ip to be a proxy. At that stage, how can you proof it was NOT you using this proxy? You are fucked…

I wonder what you think about this, what the guys from Google think about this and what could be done against this or IF something should be done about this. One thing is for sure, I would not trust anybody with the knowledge that can be retrieved from one such report.

Am I overreacting?
