Search Engine Optimization

Somebody just send me this article about Search Engine Optimization which I wanted to share with you. There are some pretty interesting points mentioned in it. More important is that it gives perfect way to introduce to you a program (or two rather) that will make it so you never need to be worrying about SEO EVER again. Let’s read the article first and at the end I will sort of shortly let you in on what I know will happen pretty soon from now…
Do SEO right and get free traffic from the Search Engines. Sounds too good to be true? Trust me, do this part correct and you will get free traffic from the search engines.
Today it seems as though most webmasters know quite a bit about search engine optimization. Here is a list in the order from most important to least important of tips I have found to work the best.
1) Google PageRank (PR), which I have discussed at lengths earlier in this book. This is the single most important thing for any site (especially those which have a lot of pages).
2) Title of your page. This goes in the <title> </title> tags of your webpage. This should include approximately 50-80 characters/7 words max (usually a lot less) and should not simply be keywords listed. Many search engines view that as spam. Sometimes what I feel works the best is making short titles for each page with a direct keyword in each one. This is not only what shows up when someone searches in search engines, but it is also believed to be the single heaviest item that most search engines consider when performing a search.
3) Content is king, especially original content. Slapping a picture up on a page and writing a sentence about it will not get you the search engine placement that a page with 400-1000 words of rich content will. Title images with keywords, while also using alt tags for images, and don’t overdo the content optimization. It is good to include your keywords in your content, however, if you overdo the keyword insertion, you will do more harm than good.
This is called ‘keyword stuffing”. A good guideline for the frequency that your keyword should appear in a content page is about 4%. Anything over 8% would most likely get you penalized, while anything under 1% may not even be picked up on the Search engines’ radar. Also what is strongly suggested is that you include your keywords in your heading on the top of your site. You should use either <h1>, <h2>, or <h3> tags for the heading.
4) Your Domain. Try to make your Domain contain keywords for the market you are targeting. If you are creating a website about “dog food”, then choose a domain name with at least one of those 2 words in it. Examples would be Mut-food.com, dog-muchies.com or even better yummydogfood.com. Remember though that you have to balance search engine optimization with the ability of members to remember the domain name and come back. Even though something like dogfood-dogfood.com may be good for SEO, it isn’t something people will quickly remember. Also, Search engines usually don’t discriminate between .com, .net, .biz, .info, etc, but people do. Choose a .com domain unless it is absolutely necessary to choose one of the others.
5) Be Smart - Don’t just use the most popular keyword phrases. The market is so competitive that you should be sure to include some niche keywords too.
Another thing that I have found to be true is that most search engines including Google do not like PHP scripted pages very much. If your site is PHP based, you want to have it scripted to appear as .html extensions to visitors and search engines.
Most programmers should understand this request, if you tell them you need “mod rewrite done to make php appear as html”. I have found this to help significantly with Google results.
Meta Tags are also very important to help your site get indexed better in search engines.

Yep, it is true:
A Total Newbie made $1,290.00 Online in THREE days with less than 2 hours work! And, he did it in the make money online market which is pretty hard to break in to.
Normally when I hear these statements I tend to not believe them at first. I would need to see some more proof or better, I would want to know who is making these statements.

Earth4Energy, ever heard of it? I didn’t know much about it until a few days ago. A friend of mine who lives around 5 km away from here installed his very own solar power system and windmill energy system. And, I was like wow.. That sounds interesting. And, it was.
We live in the sunny Algarve, Portugal and we have more ‘sunshine hours’ than in California. So, installing a solar power system was a good idea.
Yet, one thing can be said about these solar renewable energy systems is that they can be quite expensive and so, out of reach for a lot of people.
Strange, because it truly is a way to save energy and to save a lot of money on your energy bills too. Besides this, it helps keep the earth a little cleaner.
Of course there are things you can do in your home to save money on your electricity bills like switching off the television instead of leaving it on standby, the same counts for computers, monitors and other electric appliances you have in your home, switched on but which could easily be switched off. Try this, it will save you money on your next electricity bill!
But, besides saving energy costs like that, the solar power systems and windmill systems have to be the better solution. Once installed you practically have a free energy source.
Think about it for a while. Your own free energy. You create your own electricity…
But, the costs…
It may help to know that my friend is not rich and does not have thousands on the bank so to speak. Manuel is a hard working Portuguese local and down here in Portugal wages are not the very best in Europe.
But, Manuel was able to create his own homemade solar power system for on the roof and a homemade windmill energy system for in his garden. And, he saved himself thousands of Euros by doing it all himself.
I couldn’t believe this for one second when Manuel told me so I had to go over and enjoy a glass of Porto …
Eh, I mean, view his newest creations. 
And, there we where, sitting in the garden with a bit of cheese in one hand, a glass of old Porto in the other.
On the left in his garden he had a real windmill giving a nice little breezy noise and which was in fact creating electricity while we where sipping Porto nibbling on our cheese, on the other side, his house, where I could clearly see the sun reflecting in those roof covering, nice blue-ish colored homemade solar panels.
Also creating electricity.
Manuel told me that the energy is stored for use at night or when the sun would not shine during cloudy days. Even though during those cloudy days the solar power panel system would still create electricity but not as much and, since cloudy days normally bring wind, the windmill energy system would make up for that.
So, now Manuel does not only create electricity himself with his home made solar power panel system and windmill energy system, he can also store the energy he made.
I asked him where he got all of the knowledge to do this since he was a fisher man and not a solar panel specialist or engineer.
He replied to me: The internet…
And I was baffled. The internet.
I am an internet marketer, why did I not think of it. But, I never knew Manuel would at all use the internet let alone he would find out and learn how to build homemade renewable energy.
He sure succeeded as I could see with my own eyes.
Manuel showed me what he had bought and downloaded. It was the Earth4Energy guide to homemade solar power panel energy and windmill energy.
I have heard of this guide before but never thought much of it. Until today that is. I asked a copy of the guide to find out how exactly I could copy Manuel his energy creating solar power and windmill energy systems.

So, does Google Adsense Really Suck This Much?

First of all, I am by far a big Adsense earner. I have several Adsense sites but the money I make with them is nothing to write home about. Yet, after a recent article I wrote on one of my sites apparently describing what happened to become the next sort of mini internet craze I came to the conclusion that landed me in to a situation where I had to ask myself whether or not Adsense had to suck. And, more importantly, if it was costing me FAR more than that it was bringing in…

Adsense is something you make money with…
But, what if it is costing you? And, all the time you are so happy that you earn a few hundred dollar per month. But, could you not be earning thousands of dollars instead?
WITHOUT Adsense?
Don’t get me wrong. It is a great way for many people to simply earn some money online.
Some money…
But hey, it doesn’t take much effort! You sign up for Adsense, you pick your ad color matching your site(s) and you copy and paste their ad code into your sites with indeed the greatest ease.
Google then published content related ads right on your site. Once a person clicks on your ad you make cash. I am sure it is a great solution but recently I was forced to feel a bit different about it all… And, looking at it now, maybe for the better!
What it is that happened just didn’t feel good and made me doubt about Adsense and its possible successes normal people can have with it. And, whether or not there are better opportunities with which normal people can make a lot more money with…
I am sure there are those of you who still earn their full time income and a bit (thousands upon thousands so to speak) per month but I got quite disappointed in the whole Adsense program and am getting close to undertaking action in removing Adsense from all of my sites.
Let me explain what I mean with them and a bit more about how I came to this all:
As said, I wrote an article on one of my sites (news related) about something that became a little bit of an internet craze.
The article was one of the first articles to be mentioning about the possible UFO at the inauguration of President Obama. I had made print screens from the CNN video with the flying object clearly visible, adding to the post’s value. Considering the fact my site was a ‘newspaper themed site’ many people saw it as actual news I am sure.
At first, I did not do this out of commercial reasons but just to get my point of view out over something I had seen on the CNN camera. Something I felt could be news. You never know, you might hit something big…
I bookmarked the post on some sites and it sort of hit the main stream for a good few days resulting in more than 66,000 visitors in less than 3 weeks or so. Lots of sites decided to link to my article, certain news papers did and it was bingo. Traffic, traffic and traffic. It was craaazy.
Besides the fact that my site went offline for a while due to its bandwidth exceeding (which I never had before and luckily only lasted for 4 hours) I noticed something else what was rather disappointing.
Since the site initially did not have a commercial value to me as in such I was still curious to see what this traffic would bring in clicks and of course revenue.
The site in question is monetized with Adsense but has more of a different kind of purpose as to why I own it. It provides news and that is it for now. But, since none of my sites go un-monetized so to speak I placed Adsense. Some money is always better than none.
While I checked my Adsense stats daily a certain drop in income per click was clearly noticeably. This was about half way into the certain traffic spurt this site had received.
Where the site had one top day of $75 income out of Adsense clicks (With thousands of visitors per day, which is not much, I know… Actually pathetically low if you ask me…) the other days it would come to $50 or a bit less.
Until the day that brought the certain drop of income per click.
Not just some little drop, no… The traffic remained the same as in thousands per day , I received about the same amount of clicks yet, the daily income went to $12 or even less! That is not just sad, it is silly too. I mean, who possibly wants to earn that per click.
How close to insult can you get?
So, as this is now an ongoing incident while we speak… In my opinion Adsense Really sucks.
The site still gets only a much smaller percentage of income per click as compared to what it used to do in the beginning and nothing on site has changed during the whole time. I also know that the UFO niche most probably is not the best paying one either yet a ‘certain drop’ of income from what it was making during those days is unexplainable to me.
It is not clear to me how that could have happened all of a sudden. Anyone here an idea that you would like to share about this?
Then of course, I know if you target the higher paid keywords you can make some serious money. And, in all fairness, I have sites totally targeted and niche related which bring in several dollars per click. But, it is in these segments that it is harder to compete. So, not always reachable for the starting marketer.
For instance, I own a site which is highly ranked on ‘private jet’ related keywords with surpluses of $4 per click. Since I have no jets this might as well be the only site I could imagine having Adsense on. Simply cause there is no affiliate program for private jets. (Well, there is eBay and some charter companies with affiliate programs but unfortunately in the private jet market they do not convert that good)
But, on these sites I do own with higher earning clicks it is also in these segments that I have noticed a drop of income per click. Anyone who has noticed the same?
Basically it can possibly become much worse…
Adsense does not only possibly suck, it potentially robs you from a lot of money as well. Imagine owning a site promoting online surveys. (You are welcome Elise ) They pay something like $34 per sale and are popular by many people so I have heard. (I’ve used the example of Online surveys for no other reason than to be able to plant a link to Elise since she is such a nice person )
But anyways…
Eager as you are wanting to make money you start building your website or blog and since you have heard of the BIG Google and the Adsense (With which you can make milllllllllions of dollars) you of course go ahead and sign up for an Adsense account.
You then spend time to actually get targeted traffic from the search engines and are welcoming people to your online survey site who are indeed looking for an online survey program with their credit card in their hand, ready to buy.
Great! The hardest part done, you have landed a visitor interested to buy!
Then they see your clever positioned ad (Since Google even tells you where to put it) and…
Click …
Your visitor just clicked on your Google Adsense ad.
Congratulations my friend! You just earned yourself around $0.85.
But, he clicked AWAY from your site and you have earned Google around $1.50 on the go and even worse, most possible, you have earned the person who was using Adwords to advertise on your Adsense ad a nice commission of about $34 or so. Minus his cost per click of $2.35 is a net profit of $31.65
So, basically, you have been robbed $33.15 by making the click yes, but not making the sale.
So, my question is (and it is one I am seriously asking myself AND testing out):
Am I better off without Adsense?
If you look at the above image, hmm.. maybe we are! These are two screen shots taken from Adsense and a clickbank account over the same period of time. Where Adsense recorded 45 page views this resulted in 3 clicks. Within these same 45 page views Google saw 26 hops where made. (Hops are clicks to the vendor site recorded by Clickbank)
Clearly, the $0.60 is less exiting to welcome in to your bank account than its counterpart income, the $22.84 that was made while making the sale yourself, resulting in a lot more profit!
I think the question you need to ask if you have as well Adsense as your own promotions going on what it is that makes your visitor click on the Adsense ad INSTEAD of your promo.
And, why he or she does not click on your promotion making you $34 per sale? Instead it is a meagerly $0.85 you gain with Adsense.
Ok, cool once you get thousands of clicks.
But, what if you could make hundreds of sales out of those thousands of clicks instead?
Sure, easy to solve this, we remove Adsense. From now on it won’t happen again! No more deceiving click away from Google.
But, if you still don’t know why visitors do not click your promotions on your site to buy the products and simply close your site to go back on Google for another search; you have yet another problem.
Because now you earn nothing.
I decided to go and do some testing with sites that get the same kind of traffic in niche and amount and have one site with and one site without Adsense. I used to earn money with Adsense and product sales on those sites so I can compare it after a while. Does the income without Adsense drop or will it generate more sales simply because the visitor has no other choice than to open up one of the offers.
Does a site without Adsense earn more than a site with Adsense?
It may be simple for some, but if you are unable to make your site’s own advertisements and promotions (read affiliate programs) convert better (with or) without Adsense you get a lot of site closers.
They will not click and buy.
Once again, if you would have had Adsense on there they might have clicked that earning you some cents.
However, how do we make our sites so that we do not need Adsense but that it will look after the $34 or more per sale commissions that are coming in from the sales that the site directly is making?
So…
Does Adsense suck THAT much that it in fact costs you money? The more I look at it, the more I think it does.
Although I come to the conclusion that this does not entirely depend on Adsense. Once you are able to make your site convert better with direct offer promotions instead of Adsense, you WILL be better off. This also means that if you are not able to do so you will lose money.
There are people who will argue that it is all in the numbers of traffic (targeted) and the higher paid niche markets. However, in most cases, even if you had thousands of visitors to your sites, if you could divert them directly to an offer YOU promote, you do not only cut out the middle man (men) you also make hordes of more money, so that one does not go up.
So, what is it that I still have Adsense on my sites for?
I don’t know. It does look good. Kind of gives trusted look. Will that be it?
I just do not know… (yet)
I said you will lose money if you are not able to make your site convert better but, this count as well for not trying to improve and answering the question.
If you do not try it for your own sites and you would be able to improve conversion then you too lose out on more money as well. Or?

Will Google Shadow be worth it?
Tuesday the 11th Chris X from DJK will launch a new Adwords automation software called Google Shadow. But, will it be worth your while this time around? That is the question I am trying to get answered.
Not so long ago, 2008-07-07 to be precise Google Nemesis was launched. I do not know whether or not you had heard of it before but there were hundreds of people and gurus alike promoting it as the next best thing to make a fortune with Adwords with. Google Nemesis is from the same person / team (DJK team) that is now launching Google Shadow.
And, everything seemed to be quite ok. The software was looking great and the concept of building review sites is a proven to work technique.
Google Nemesis was able to search for the best niche, the most profitable ones and was able to automate the whole process of building a successful Adwords campaign. It had to be a successful tool.
Remember, the internet was full of people claiming it was the best thing you could buy to make a fortune.
But, how successful was Google Nemesis for real? And, based upon the answer of that question, could we predict how successful Google Shadow will be?
If we wanted to have a go at this we need to realize that this can only be determined based on facts. And while I tried to do some research on the refund rates for instance I could not find much to my liking and not enough to base any conclusions on.
So, I dove in to my Clickbank account to see what had happened with all the customers I referred to the product back then. I saw that I had made 83 sales of Google Nemesis.
This is a relatively small number considering 2 or 3 thousand copies were sold. But, we can now do a calculation on a small percentage of customers and that is better than having none.
If I tell you that out of the 83 monthly subscriptions for Google Nemesis initially only three remain active, what does that tell you?
Out of 83 people who bought Google Nemesis from me, 80 Refunded!
More importantly, what did this tell Chris?
I am sure they did not create a product that would not work knowing in advance people would go for a refund anyway. In that scenario they don’t make any profit. And, at the end, that is why they are in the business just as much as that the people who bought the product are. They all want to make money.
Out of 83 people, 3 are still using the product. That is if they did not forget about the product and payment and simply did not cancel it yet.
I would love to know how many people are still using Google Nemesis to be honest with you.
As a matter of fact, I think I might just go ahead and email those three people to see what they think of Google Nemesis.
Why is this important you ask?
In my opinion a person does not buy a product with the knowledge that they will refund it anyway. I am sure it is nice to know you CAN refund but I am not sure people buy a product because they will want to refund it anyway.
Because, what is the use of buying then? So, they buy the product, being aware of the fact that there is a monthly subscription. Surely, they aspect to be working with the product for years to come?
Then, why is it that just over 3% of all the people who bought Nemesis opted for a refund?
To be positive about this it would mean that Chris and the DJK team thought twice about Google Shadow and made sure they learned from their previous short comings and improved the software to become a long lasting tool in the customer’s hands.
People want value when they buy a product. I hope Google Shadow is just that.
Now that you know a bit more about the previous product based on my own sales and returns I hope you will be warned of what to aspect.
Forget about all of the hype out there. Forget about all of the people ‘honestly’ reviewing the product Google Shadow because ALL of them will tell you what you want to hear not what you need to hear.
They want you to buy the product as much as you do because they want to make the sale.
Think about it for a moment. Then I am sure you will be able to realize you need to make your own decisions on this. Check out the Google Shadow sales page.
Once more, whilst being there, forget about the hype. Learn what Google Shadow IS, learn what it can do, learn what you can do with it and assess for yourself whether or not the Google Shadow tool would be something that would fit your business plan. If so, by all means go and get Google Shadow.
There is no risk as you ARE able to get a refund. But, it could spare you yet another disappointment of a promise you can make yourself rich on autopilot using Adwords just because someone else can.
I am not saying that the Google Shadow is NOT good, no not at all. However, I am warning you to make sure to keep your mind clear while reading everything you read about it.
Just a few moments ago, while trying to find out about Google Nemesis all Google gave me were the hundreds of affiliate sites promoting the product. Not one site mentioning the true experiences and results. There was NOT ONE good review of why it is I saw so many refunds and returns. Only affiliate sites praising Nemesis in to heaven. Remember, 80 people out of 83 who bought returned the program within 1 or two months. So, praising it to heaven? For what?
My advise to you if you are interested in Google Shadow is to visit the site, watch the video and decide based upon your OWN findings of what you see to get it or not.
Forget about emails from guru clowns, posts and affiliates praising the product in to heaven once more since 99% of those stories are based on air.
They are based upon things that are told by the creator of the product. Most of the times a bit blown up and polished a bit more topped with a nice bonus to get you to buy the product from their site.
Just a warning before you get sucked in the hype around Google Shadow.

Will I get Google Shadow?
I think I have access to it after the launch yet I will not use it. Why Not? I do not use Adwords. However, I will go and have a good look of what is inside. I will let you know my findings as soon as I have done that. But as said before, I do not operate on Adwords and will not do so either for the sake of trying out Google Shadow. I am against paying Google. I prefer to get paid by them.

Google Shadow from Chris X & the DJK Team

Google Shadow is about to be launched! I just got off the phone with Chris X from the DJK Team. I am sure you have heard of him if you are even the slightest bit interested in internet marketing. Just a reminder about Chris then: He was the creator of Day Job Killer (DJK), Affiliate Project X and Google Nemesis. All three products were Clickbank record breakers as far as sales go.
I really like Chris X. Besides being a very nice person as a friend he is a true internet marketer. Not a dishonest marketer as I recently published about. Lol, we ended up having a conversation of about three hours. And, besides the fun we had Chris shared some very interesting information about his upcoming launch. The launch of Google Shadow.
